Capital Blue
#8 Ranked 2020

View Roster & Highlights
Breakout candidates: Jordan Meyer (G - Uncommitted), Izzy D’Antonio (A - Committed to Loyola), Abby Jenkins (M - Committed to Denver)
Potential X-Factors: Caroline Bean (A - Committed to Michigan), Reilly Casey (A - Committed to UNC), Maggie Bostain (M - Committed to Virginia), Aubrey Williams (M - Committed to Virginia)
Playstyle: Gritty and fast
Quote to remember: “When you load up on talented middies, that helps your defense, get the ball out of your defensive end, having middies down there, and with attack, it makes it more of a diverse attack.” - Brian Puhlick, Capital Blue Head Coach

Puhlick, who’s been coaching girls lacrosse for 26 years now, took more midfielders than he did attackers and defenders on this team in order to balance out playing time and reinforce his play style. Jenkins is coming off an ACL/MCL injury but is back and one of the most improved players on the team, and will help lead the midfield with a pair of Cavaliers recruits in Bostain and Williams. Rosie McCarthy (committed to Dartmouth), Brynn McDonald (committed to Cornell), and Isabelle Thornburg (committed to Navy) will all be key in the midfield rotation as well. Another ACC college recruit in Casey will headline the attackers, but Bean and D’Antonio, who’s grown and stepped up, per Puhlick, will also contribute. Capital will use a lot of its middies to play defense, but also has strong defenders in Devon Deerin, Tess Moore, and Kyley Rymsza. In goal are a pair of goalies in Meyer, who usually starts games, and Aleigh Monroe (committed to Butler), who will most often finish them.
