Laxachusetts Black
#21 Ranked 2020

View Roster & Highlights

Head Coach:

Breakout candidates: Aidan Carroll (A - Uncommitted), Gray Thomas (M - Uncommitted
Potential X-Factors: Blake Brookes (D - Committed to Johns Hopkins), Collin Bergstrom (D - Committed to Brown), John Schofield (LSM - Committed to Lehigh), Cam Rubin (A - Committed to Penn)
Playstyle: Run and Gun
Quote to remember: “They’re a big athletic group that’s skilled, has really good IQ, they can cover anyone.” - Sean Morris, Assistant Program Director, on the Laxachusetts 20s’ defensive group.
The first thing Morris mentioned about this team was its defense, led by Brookes and Bergstrom. The two of them have good size, both standing around 6’3”, and are each athletic, strong, and physical. They’re joined by Schofield, a pole who will slide into defense and will be playing his college ball at Lehigh. Offensively, Rubin is the one who will run the show, along with Carroll, a multi-sport athlete who also plays guard on the basketball court. Morris believes that a key to the team’s success this year will its play at the X, where John Dixon (committed to Georgetown) and Caleb Hammett (uncommitted) will be taking faceoffs. In goal, Laxachusetts will also split time, between Quinn Richards (committed to Air Force) and Teddy Griffin (uncommitted), who is also a sought-after hockey recruit.
