LI Express is a successful program that has sent dozens of players to the Division-I ranks, including attackman Ian Laviano, who led national champion Virginia with 51 goals this season. This group is no different, as over 20 players are committed to play at the collegiate level. One of the team’s strengths is its midfield rotation, which features players such as James Ball (committed to Yale) and Michael O’Connell (committed to Maryland) that also spend some time at the X. The two have also shown the ability to score the ball, and are joined in the group by Devino, Walshe, and Fairback, who Chanenchuk pointed out as the players who have improved the most of the past year. Russell Maher (committed to Virginia), who originally committed to Syracuse before flipping to the Cavaliers, will be key on the offensive side of the ball along with players such as Wieczorek. Brendan McCabe (committed to Michigan) is a hard-nosed defender and will form part of LI Express’ backline with Gross and TJ McNicholas (committed to Albany), a big defenseman. They’ll line up in front of a pair of goalies in Garzone and Alex Pazienza (committed to Sacred Heart), who will split time in the cage.
