Mason plays good physical defense while also using his stick effectively. He keeps his feet moving when he throws checks, and is skilled enough in transition to play either LSM or close. He doesn't go crazy throwing checks, but uses his stick well to leverage his man away from the middle of the field. Mason has a very solid foundation, he just needs to kepe improving as he grows.
