Gavin is an athletic goalie with good reflexes who isn't afraid to come out of the cage on clears or to pick off passes. He's good at matching stick angle in tight, and he moves very well laterally in the net. He gives up a lot of rebounds, and he's almost too eager to come out of the cage. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but he'll have to be careful of getting himself in bad situations just because he wants to run.
