Austin is a technically sound goalie who stays balanced in the net. He does a good job of reacting instead of guessing, and is always looking up and out on clearing passes. He doesn't drop to the ground like some other young goalies, instead trusting in his technique to keep the bottom of the net covered. He also stays big on shots in tight and is good at matching stick angle. Austin has a very solid foundation built, he just needs to keep improving as he grows.
