High School Live Love Lax Re-Cap Who Were the Top Teams from this weekend?
Live, Love, Lax - High School Matchup Results & Players Who Impressed
This weekend’s Live, Love, Lax tournament was one of the biggest early recruiting events of the summer, and the action did not disappoint. Let’s take a look at the teams and players who stood out at the high school level.
2026
#2 M&D Black had a strong showing, going 3–1, with their only loss coming to Prime Time—who currently sits outside the Top 20. They picked up wins over Yellow Jackets Manning, Sky Walkers Blue, and Hero’s Green.
#5 NXT Black faced tough competition and faltered in 2 of their 3 games. They defeated Eagle Stix but lost to #15 LI Jesters Black and #17 Integrity Green. These two losses to lower-ranked teams could cause a drop in the standings.
#8 Hero’s Green had a solid weekend. Their only loss was to M&D Black, and they earned wins over YJ Manning and Capital Blue, along with a tie against Jesters Black. A win over M&D might have boosted them further, but there's still plenty of summer left to climb the ranks.
#10 Eagle Stix Blue struggled, picking up just one win—against Philly Blast Spirit—and suffered losses to #4 Steps Elite NJ Blue, #5 NXT Black, and the Jesters. They may see a slight drop in the rankings.
#15 LI Jesters Black impressed with a 3–1–1 record over five games. Notably, they beat three Top 10 teams—#5 NXT, #10 Eagle Stix, and #17 Integrity—tied #8 Hero’s, and lost by one goal to a tough Philly Blast squad. Expect them to rise.
#17 Integrity Green also picked up a significant win over #5 NXT and tied #4 Steps. Losses to Jesters and Philly may hold them back slightly, but they’re trending upward.
#20 TLC Red enjoyed an undefeated weekend out of a lower bracket, picking up wins over NEMS, Predators, Charlotte Style, and #19 Metro Blue. They’re holding steady but may not see a major jump without tougher competition.
2027
#1 M&D Black went 3–1, with their only loss coming to #4 Yellow Jackets Stadler. They picked up key wins over #3 Eagle Stix, #6 Hero’s, and #11 Jesters Black. Little movement is expected for this Maryland squad.
#3 Eagle Stix Blue had a difficult weekend, finishing 1–2–1. Their lone win came against #8 Triple Threat. Losses to M&D and Yellow Jackets, and a tie with Jesters, may cause a small ranking slide.
#4 Yellow Jackets Stadler was arguably the most impressive team of the weekend, going undefeated with wins over #1 M&D, #3 Eagle Stix, #6 Hero’s, and #8 Triple Threat. They are making a serious case for the #1 spot.
#6 Hero’s Green mirrored Eagle Stix’s outcome—one win over Triple Threat, losses to M&D and Yellow Jackets, and a tie with Jesters. A slight drop is possible.
#8 Triple Threat Elite went winless, with a particularly tough 9–0 loss to #11 Jesters. Most losses came against top teams, so the impact on their ranking may be moderate, but they’ll need a bounce-back soon.
#11 LI Jesters Black went 1–1–2 but turned heads with a 9–0 win over Triple Threat. They also tied with Eagle Stix and Hero’s, and lost only to #1 M&D. With such performances, they’re knocking on the door of the Top 10.
2028
#1 Eagle Stix Blue might be trending down after a mixed weekend. They earned wins over #5 M&D and #8 Maryland United, but fell to #3 Hero’s and tied #9 Coppermine. Not bad results, but other teams may leapfrog them.
#2 Prime Time had an undefeated run, but in a lower bracket. They beat #13 Crush, #18 Steps NJ, #20 Sky Walkers, and Philly Blast. They’ll likely hold steady but need tougher competition to push for #1.
#3 Hero’s Green made a strong case for the top spot. Despite one loss to #20 Sky Walkers, they went 4–1 against elite competition, defeating M&D, Coppermine, Eagle Stix, and YJ Maget.
#4 Yellow Jackets Maget also impressed with three Top 10 wins over Maryland United, M&D, and Coppermine. Their only loss was to Hero’s, 3–7.
#5 M&D Black had a rough outing, going 0–4. While three of the losses were to higher-ranked teams, the loss to #8 Maryland United may drop them a bit.
#8 Maryland United East managed one win—against M&D—and lost to YJ Maget, Eagle Stix, and Coppermine. A slight drop may follow.
#9 Coppermine Black went winless but tied #1 Eagle Stix. Losses to Hero’s, YJ Maget, and Maryland United may push them down.
#13 Crush MD had a mixed bag—wins over #16 Jesters and Philly Blast, but losses to #2 Prime Time and #20 Sky Walkers. It’ll be interesting to see if they move at all.
#16 LI Jesters Black went winless aside from one victory over Philly Blast. Losses came against similarly ranked teams—#13 Crush, #18 Steps, and #20 Sky Walkers.
#19 LI Legacy Blue went undefeated but against unranked teams. They won’t drop but need tougher games to rise.
#20 Sky Walkers Blue had a breakout weekend, going 3–1 with wins over #3 Hero’s, #13 Crush, and #16 Jesters. Their only loss was to #2 Prime Time. Expect a jump in the rankings.
Players Who Impressed
We already know the 2026 class is packed with stars, but a few athletes truly cemented themselves as elite prospects this weekend.
-
Sofie McDonald (Eagle Stix Blue, William & Mary) – A strong lefty defensive middie who made life tough for some of the top dodgers in the nation.
-
Kylie Waters & Ella Upchurch (Clemson commits) – Waters dazzled with her speed and crease play, while Upchurch dominated on both ends and in transition.
-
Annabelle Walsh (Denver), Mackenzie Rassas (Notre Dame), Allison Hankins (Syracuse) – This M&D Black trio was explosive. Walsh’s speed, Rassas’ D-I level presence, and Hankins’ off-ball IQ made them a nightmare to defend.
-
Avery Mason (Sky Walkers Blue, USC) – Despite facing that trio, the goalie stood out with quick hands and elite reaction time.
-
Emma Speed & Ava Obloj (Florida commits, LI Jesters) – Speed lived up to her name, while Obloj’s cutting and finishing showcased elite lacrosse IQ.
The 2027 class also featured rising talent:
-
Lillian Kaulta & Savannah Higgins (Eagle Stix) – Kaulta shined at the draw and on attack, while Higgins impressed as both a shooter and feeder.
-
Jessica McKelvey (Triple Threat Elite) – Her play in net earned plenty of attention. She held her own against top-tier teams all weekend.
-
Kelsey Young (Philly Blast Courage) – A dynamic dodger and finisher who’s dangerous on and off-ball, even without a Top 10 team behind her.
-
Madison Herr (YJ Stadler) – A standout midfielder with great speed, stickwork, and a fearless dodging style.
The summer is just heating up, but this action-packed Live, Love, Lax weekend gave us a clear glimpse of the teams and players to watch as the season unfolds.
