Naptown Recap – Championship Game Summaries
The 2025 Naptown National Challenge once again delivered an elite display of talent, intensity, and championship-level lacrosse. From the 2026 through 2032 divisions, top programs from across the country battled through tightly contested brackets and high-stakes matchups, all leading to a slate of thrilling championship games at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. Each final
brought its own story—whether it was a defensive standoff, an offensive explosion, or a dramatic one-goal finish, the level of competition was unmatched as teams fought to claim national bragging rights.
2026 Division – Hilltop Lax 5, Sweetlax Navy 4
In a defensive showdown between two battle-tested squads, Hilltop Lax edged Sweetlax Navy 5–4 to capture the 2026 championship. Both teams played with discipline and grit, but Hilltop’s poise in late-game situations made the difference. Their ability to win tight games throughout the bracket was a defining factor in their title run.
2027 Division – Mad Dog National Gold 7, Next Level Blue 5
Mad Dog National 2027 Gold outlasted a talented Next Level Blue team in a back-and-forth title match. Next Level’s speed gave Mad Dog problems early, but a strong second-half surge and lockdown defense secured the 7–5 win. Mad Dog’s physicality and structure carried them through a challenging bracket and a tough final.
2028 Division – Mad Dog National Black 6, BBL National 5
The 2028 final was a one-goal thriller, with Mad Dog Black prevailing 6–5 over BBL National.
Both teams entered the game with momentum, but Mad Dog’s defensive consistency and ability
to capitalize on key possessions helped them survive BBL’s late push. It was a hard-fought win
that highlighted their grit and resilience.
2029 Division – LI Express Channy 10, Boston’s Phinest 5
LI Express Chantry put on a dominant display in the 2029 final, defeating Boston’s Phinest 10–5. Their offense was fast, fluid, and relentless, while their defense kept Boston from finding any rhythm. LI Express controlled possession and tempo from the start, closing out a near-perfect tournament performance.
2030 Division – Next Level Blue 10, Mad Dog National Black 6
Next Level 2030 Blue claimed the division title with a commanding 10–6 win over Mad Dog Black. Their ball movement, offensive depth, and energy in transition proved too much to handle. While Mad Dog hung tough early, Next Level pulled away late to cement themselves as the top team in the 2030 bracket.
2031 Division – Igloo Winter Soldiers 4, Sweetlax Navy 3
In a defensive battle, Igloo 2031 Winter Soldiers edged Sweetlax Navy 4–3 to take the title. Sweetlax entered the game riding high after a dominant semifinal, but Igloo’s discipline an ability to capitalize on limited chances secured the win. With back-to-back one-goal victories, Igloo showed they could perform under pressure.
2032 Division – Boston’s Phinest 12, Mad Dog National Black 3
Boston’s Phinest 2032 delivered a statement in the championship, dominating Mad Dog National Black 12–3 in the most lopsided final of the tournament. Their offense was explosive and their defense nearly impenetrable. From the opening whistle, Boston controlled the game and closed out a flawless championship run.
As the dust settles in Annapolis, the 2025 Naptown champions have etched their names into the tournament’s rich history. From Hilltop’s clutch finish in 2026 to Boston’s Phinest dominating the 2032 final, every title game was a testament to preparation, resilience, and high-level execution. With standout performances across all age groups and unforgettable championship moments, this year’s event solidified Naptown as one of the premier stages for club lacrosse.
