Tournament Preview: Legends Eastern
Legends Eastern Preview: Bracket Picks by Division
One of the most anticipated weekends of the summer is finally here. Legends Eastern is set to host elite programs from all over, with deep brackets across every age group. From top-tier national contenders to fast-rising sleepers, the stage is set for a full slate of competitive matchups and statement wins. Below are my projected winners in each bracket—from 2026 AA to 2032 A—based on team stats, records, and goal differentials heading into the event.
2026 AA – TRW Wolfpack
TRW comes in with a strong 7–3–1 record, a solid 91.23 rating, and a +33 goal differential (88 GF – 55 GA). That combo of winning record, high rating, and goal margin shows they can play both ends of the field at a high level. They're consistent and tested—clear front-runner potential in the AA bracket.
2026 A – Black Bear
Black Bear has a solid 8–5–1 record and an 87.13 rating, which puts them in a strong position for this tier. Their +23 goal differential (84–61) suggests they’re capable of winning close games while still putting up numbers. They’ve been in enough tight matchups to be tournament-ready.
2026 B – Savannah Hawksbills
At 10–8 with 104 goals scored, the Hawksbills are explosive on offense. Even with a lower rating (86.3), their sheer scoring output and 10 wins show they know how to find the back of the net. In the B division, that kind of offense could carry them to the top.
2027 AA – Headlines Navy AA
An 11–2 record, 88.67 rating, and a +64 goal differential (120–56) says it all. They’re dominant. Headlines Navy has both the win percentage and stat line to be the most complete team in the AA bracket. They're battle-tested and productive across the board.
2027 A – Black Bear 2027
A 9–4 record with a +53 goal differential (89–36) gives Black Bear a strong foundation for a title run. Their defense is especially impressive—just 36 goals allowed—which could be a deciding factor in lower-scoring playoff games.
2027 B – Shred Thread National
Shred Thread comes in with a 9–4–2 record and a +20 goal margin (96–76). While their rating is a bit lower (83.35), their ability to win and keep games close makes them a sleeper pick in the B division. They’ve played a lot of games and look sharp.
2028 AA – DC Express Orange
DC Express Orange enters with a 9–5 record, a strong 89.75 rating, and a +28 goal differential (81 GF – 53 GA). Sitting inside the Top 100 nationally, they’ve shown they can win against competitive programs and keep games under control on both ends. Their ability to stay consistent and close out tight matchups makes them a strong contender in the AA bracket.
2028 A – Team 91 Charlotte White
Despite a 6–7 record, Charlotte has an 86.43 rating and a near-even goal margin (77–72), which suggests they’ve played a tough schedule. In the A bracket, where matchups may be more balanced, their experience against stronger teams could give them an edge.
2028 B – Fusion VA White
Fusion Virginia’s 3–4–1 record and 84.26 rating aren’t flashy, but they’ve played tight games. With 42 goals scored and 55 allowed, they’ve been in a lot of close ones. In the B bracket, where margins matter and parity is high, their grit could push them over the top.
2029 A – Louisville Kings Red
Louisville comes in at 7–5–1 with a +19 goal differential (84 GF – 65 GA). While their record isn’t elite, they’ve played a tough schedule and found ways to win close games. They’ll face Fusion VA, Sonics, and True National—three teams that will test their depth. If they can stay composed and convert on offense, they have what it takes to make a run in the A bracket.
2029 B – Fusion Virginia
Fusion VA enters at 7–4–1 with a strong +37 goal margin (71 GF – 34 GA) and a rating of 86.53. What stands out is their defense—just 34 goals allowed over 12 games is elite for this age group. That kind of defensive consistency is exactly what wins games in B brackets. If they keep controlling tempo and limiting mistakes, they’ll be in prime position to take the title.
2030 A – Carolina Miners Yellow
The Miners have been on a tear with a 16–7–2 record and a +115 goal differential (216 GF – 101 GA). They’re averaging over 8 goals per game and still keeping the defensive side tight. Facing True National Green, Headlines, and Omnia will give them solid competition, but they’ve shown they can score in bunches and manage high-paced games. They’re the team to beat in this division.
2030 B – ADVNC Virginia
ADVNC Virginia brings in an 8–4–1 record and a very solid +56 goal margin (102 GF – 46 GA), backed by a rating of 85.53. This squad can score, but more importantly, they’ve been sharp on the defensive end—allowing fewer than 4 goals per game. Their balance across the field gives them the edge over most of the B bracket.
2031 A – 3 Point Lacrosse
3 Point is coming in hot with a 14–7–1 record and a strong +44 goal margin (139 GF – 95 GA). They’re facing a challenging group with Team 91 Carolina, True National, and FCA Richmond—all capable teams—but 3 Point’s ability to consistently generate offense and close out games gives them the upper hand. If they stick to their game, they should finish at the top.
2031 B – Team 91 Charlotte White
Team 91 Charlotte White enters with an 11–9–2 record and a razor-thin goal margin (108 GF – 111 GA). On paper, the numbers are tight, but they’ve played a deep schedule and have shown resilience in close games. Their 22-game experience gives them an edge in knowing how to grind through a bracket. If they can tighten up defensively, they’re a strong pick to take the B bracket.
2032 A – Team 91 Carolina
Team 91 Carolina is a clear frontrunner with a 15–5 record and a massive +107 goal differential (170 GF – 63 GA). They’ll face 460 Outlaws twice and ADVNC—teams that can’t be overlooked—but with that combination of firepower and defensive control, it’s going to take a lot to slow them down. They’ve got all the tools to dominate the 2032 A bracket.
Final Thoughts:
With talent stacked across every division and dozens of critical matchups ahead, Legends Eastern has the makings of one of the most competitive weekends of the summer. These picks are based on the numbers—but anything can happen when the first whistle blows. Expect upsets, breakout performances, and programs making real statements as they push for national recognition. Let the battles begin.
